Friday Finds: What Project Are You Working On?

We love seeing what projects our customers are working on and if we’re lucky they’ll remember to send us a photo or two. Enjoy these photos taken by “everyday people” sans stylists and expensive cameras.

A customer from our Edina store purchased 16 empty paint cans. Inquiring minds wanted to know what he was working on. Kudos to the customer for coming up with this brilliant custom-made coffee table. Doesn’t it look like it belongs in an expensive modern design catalog?

Dennis Anderson, long-time Hirshfield’s customer and professional paperhanger, is hanging a specialty paper from Vahallan Papers. Yes, this paper comes in squares and rectangles from sizes 11.5″ x 11.5″ up to 46.5″ x 46.5″.

Dennis is “booking” the wallpaper before he hangs it. Here you can better see the metallic over lay on this custom hand-painted paper. Take my word for it the photos do not do this gorgeous paper justice.

From little rectangles to wall murals, here’s another wallpaper installation that makes a huge statement. This customer chose a wall mural from Eijffinger to complement his mid-modern century vibe. He did a great job picking out furniture that doesn’t overwhelm a smaller space, and how great do those Wassily chairs look against the wallpaper? If this were my room I’d have a sore arm from patting myself on the back for a job well done. Eijffinger is my all-time favorite European wallpaper company. Every pattern puts a smile on your face.

Benjamin Moore’s Dragon’s Breath 1547 was chosen for the exterior of this house. See how it ties together the existing elements that couldn’t be changed: shingles, driveway, brick on the facade, and the sidewalk pavers. Let’s hear it for visual harmony.

This is the master bedroom in a custom home done by TC Homebuilders. Click on the TC Homebuilders link and you’ll see more rooms in this amazing luxury Edina home. It’s the detail to attention that makes all TC Homebuilders’ homes so fabulous.

Dennis did a great job hanging the wallpapers used throughout the house and I was hard-pressed to find any seams. This pattern reads more subtle when you see it in person and I don’t know if you can appreciate how stunning it is on the wall. The “links” look like they’re microscopic glass beads.

We’d love to see what projects you’re working on. We also appreciate your business and your support of a local business.
