Best Selling Wallpapers

Wallpaper is a great way to add personality, style, and texture to your home and nothing changes the character of a room, as easily and dramatically, like wallpaper. Here are a few best-selling 2023 wallpapers from Thibaut, York and Brewster wallcoverings — we are always interested in seeing what wallpapers people are choosing for their homes.

Brewster Wallpaper

Elise Indigo Nouveau Gardens from the Ingrid wallpaper book

“This moody and majestic Art Nouveau floral wallpaper adds wild elegance to your walls. A variety of red, light blue, white, and golden yellow blooms grow among twisting, leafy green vines, all richly offset by an indigo backdrop.” Elise is offered in four colorways and is an unpasted, non woven wallpaper.

A-Street Prints is one of 24 brands that Brewster Home Designs carries. In the past couple years, with the renewed interest in all that is William Morris,  Brewster has done a nice job with William Morris look-alikes at a lower price point.

Lars Charcoal Retro Wave from the Hannah wallpaper book

“This roundabout take on striped wallpaper brings chic, retro flair to your walls. The painted grey lines form tightly-packed waves along a cool white backdrop. Available in six colorways, Lars is an unpasted, non woven wallpaper.”

Agathon Seafoam pattern from the Delphine wallpaper book

“Tried and true, blue florals are a perfect accent for any home. This charming wallpaper features a delicate blue watercolor backdrop covered in white wildflowers blossoms. Agathon comes in five colorways and is a prepasted, sure strip wallpaper.”

Thibaut Wallcoverings & Fabrics

Thibaut wallpaper
Katsura pattern from Thibaut’s Grand Palace

Katsura features intricate linework with fine branches, birds and blossoms. This chinoiserie design is suitable for any room in the home. Also, available in fabric with many wonderfully coordinating fabrics to choose from.

York Wallpapers

Peacock Garden Peel + Stick wallpaper by Rifle

Lush, winding branches serve as a perch for blue peacocks, the scene inked in rich shades of blue and green with hints of white and metallic gold. Rifle Paper offers their signature florals and more in Peel and Stick wallpapers along with “regular” wallpapers. This pattern is scaled a tad smaller in the traditional paper. Available in four colorways.

…and more

Peel and Stick wallpapers have become very popular in the past few years and are perfect for renters and people who like changing out their decor often. Peel and Stick is not as durable as a vinyl texture so may not be suitable for all applications. York and Brewster are great places to start your search for Peel and Stick papers (aka removable paper).

Looking to make a statement, or to have a statement wall in your home, then decorating with a mural is your game changer. Photo murals, modern, abstract, kids and traditional – there are many more styles and options available that it won’t be difficult finding a mural that reflects your personal style. Some of us at Hirshfield’s main office still love our deer in the woods photo mural from the 80’s.

Casual observations from Hirshfield’s
  • We’re seeing a trend with people choosing to do entire rooms again – all four walls instead of an accent wall. We applaud this trend especially with powder rooms. This is the room where you can do something unexpected and have fun with the space. An accent wall in a powder tends to make the room look chopped up and the room doesn’t feel cohesive and pulled together.
  • Look up. The fifth wall is getting some much needed wallpaper love. Ceilings papered in the same wallpaper that is going on the walls! This application was quite popular years ago –  it’s back, feeling fresh and new once again.
  • Along the line of grandmillennial style (or just the wallpaper your Grandma had in her home) we are seeing stylized blocked prints in small to medium scale hitting the airwaves strong. Back in the day they were referred to as country prints or primitive prints. This wallpaper style happens to be best friends with the now popular vintage vibe.

This past summer York Wallcovering shared their “best selling wallpapers in each state” from a list of over 5,000 patterns and textures. It comes as no surprise that Rifle Paper Company and Candice Olson are the most popular brands nationwide under the York umbrella.
