Kathy B. (Hirshfield’s colorist and manager of Hirshfield’s Design Studio) shared a couple AFTER photos of an exterior color call she did back in June. The customer wanted to keep her deep blue window awnings so Kathy decided to expand on the blue and chose Wild Blueberry from Benjamin Moore’s Grand Entrance Color Card — her favorite color card for front doors. Kathy chose Benjamin Moore’s Cloud White OC-130 for the trim and shutters. Cloud White reads rich and warm on exteriors — it’s a white that doesn’t look like you just primed and forgot the top coat.

Kathy also suggested painting the sidelights of the door Wild Blueberry giving the front door a PRESENCE and not just a function of the facade. The front door is a focal point of your home and a place to show off your personal style — it’s also an opportunity to have fun with color. A simple, inexpensive exterior makeover will add plenty of curb appeal (and home value) and welcome you home each day!

The customer is happy with the new look and neighbors have stopped by complimenting the homeowners on their updated color palette. Life is good.
