Kitchen renovations come in all shapes and sizes! This fun refresh is from one of Hirshfield’s “color call customers.” Kathy Basil, Hirshfield’s Design Resource, was on an in-home paint consultation, and in addition to choosing paint colors, she offered a couple additional decor suggestions which the customer implemented in her remodel.

Hi Kathy,

I am finally sending you a long overdue but heartfelt thank you for your excellent color consultation last summer regarding my kitchen.  I hope you enjoy the before and after pictures.  I contracted with the various trades myself.  Work was finally completed in December.  The Cambria color (Windermere), light fixtures, and hardware color (oil-rubbed bronze) that you suggested are beautiful!

Thank you again for your guidance – this kitchen thrills me every day!!  G.N.

Painting the cabinets white, along with removing the doors on the upper cabinets separating the kitchen from the dining room, made a huge difference in opening up the room. It’s a awesome makeover, isn’t it? Added bonus, the customer has a place to display a few of her vintage Fiestaware pieces creating a colorful focal point for the room.
