The 2016 Bachman’s Fall Ideas House has so much to see, we needed two blogs to do it justice. Last week, we toured the new Bar Shed. This week, we go inside.
The theme of this year’s Fall Ideas House is “Warm Days, Cool Nights,” featuring a mix of terracotta hues, shades of blue, cozy textures, and natural elements. You’ll see mixed metals with green plants and lush florals, with Hirshfield’s paints on all of the walls. Here are some of the highlights.
Living Room
The living room has enough ideas to fill the house, from the metallic leaves above the mantel to the autumn scene filling the fireplace down below.
Sunroom
The sunroom is a wonderful mixture of woods, metals, and plants, tied together with cool gray drapes and Pelican Prints “Nova Collection” wallpaper (Hirshfield’s B3197P39S222).
Kitchen
A number of the rooms feature copper accents, but the kitchen was the copper showcase. Lots of creative uses for this year’s on-trend metal.
Master Bedroom
Reclaimed woods set the theme throughout the master bedroom. They even inspired the paints: Hirshfield’s Wood Shadow 0205, and Benjamin Moore 1637 Blue Spruce on the accent wall.
Guest Bedroom
Metal wall art becomes a headboard and vases hung in front of mirrors become wall art in the guest bedroom, which features traditional autumn hues and terracotta tones. Fur accents and gold elements add refined, rustic detail. with Hirshfield’s 0205 Wood Shadow on the walls.
Craft Room
The craft room is one of the highlights of the Fall Ideas House, brimming with arts and crafts, vintage pieces, and an eccentric, artistic flair. With so much color in the room, Hirshfield’s 0279 Garden Country is the perfect choice for the walls.
Study
Vintage pieces from wall to wall and floor to ceiling give the study a uniquely Minnesota feel. We love the wall of clocks complementing the print block wallpaper (Hirshfield’s B4990P40S222).
