Benjamin Moore is the clear winner of the 2016 J.D. Powers Paint Satisfaction Study, receiving the highest ranking in customer satisfaction for interior paint and exterior stains in the J.D. Powers 2016 Paint Satisfaction Study. The study also shows that a customer service plays a significant role in customer satisfaction.

J.D. Powers measured satisfaction on a 1,000 point scale, and Benjamin Moore had the highest score for both interior paint (836 points) and exterior stain (814 points).
The study measured six factors for customer satisfaction: application, design guides, durability, price, product offerings and warranty/guarantee.
Benjamin Moore scored highest among interior paints for application, durability and product offerings. Among exterior stains, Benjamin Moore had top scores in all six categories: application, design guides, durability, price; product offerings, and warranty/guarantee.
Customer Service Matters
As a Benjamin Moore retailer, we’re also pleased to note that the study shows customer satisfaction is impacted significantly by salespeople who listen carefully to understand the needs for the job (827 points vs. 677), and satisfaction is much higher among customers who receive help selecting paint colors (851 vs. 784 no help).
