“A Cozy Contemporary Nordic Celebration”
This season’s home makeover is all about simplicity in design, presented in a fabulous way. Starting with a clean white or ivory slate, our designers have layered fresh greens and traditional reds plus antique elements and wood accents for a modern take on a classic, warm holiday home.
It’s all about wood tones and wood accents in the Bachman’s Ideas House this holiday season. See the wood stacked in the glass-front cabinets? That’s fabric printed with tree cookies, giving you the illusion of stacked wood. So clever. Salvaged wood candle holders and the teak star complete the holiday picture.
I like how the design team chose books with red covers and spines for a color coordinated backdrop against the gorgeous natural wood side table. Looks like this chair’s been accessorized with a Scandi table runner. One of the living room’s five vignettes!
A woven hamper turned night stand has a magical mini-garden peeking thru the glass top. Creating a mini-garden sounds like a fun arts and crafts project for kids and adults.

Moving on up! Going vertical with live plants in the gardener’s room. Living wall art.

More vertical with an old bed spring used as a pot and utensil holder.
Cedar shakes, framed out as a headboard in the master bedroom, make a nice background for the live greens and white antlers. Bachman’s chose to go au naturel with the shakes, but imagine how a coat of paint would change the room’s mojo.
Old school Christmas tablescape with reds, greens, and Santas. Bachman’s dedicated a room to tablescapes in this Ideas House. The two other themes are Winter Wedding and Happy New Year. Bachman’s knows how to throw a party!
Freshen up your holiday season repertoire with tons of ideas from the Holiday Ideas House which has multiple entertaining spaces, tablescapes, and three or four decked out Christmas trees.
I enjoy seeing the new trends, DIY projects, and creativity of the Bachman’s design team. But, the Bachman’s Ideas House is where I get to see Hirshfield’s Paint colors up on the walls versus in a fandeck. Our customers always ask about the paint colors used at the Bachman’s houses and we are so appreciative to Bachman’s for choosing a “Made in Minnesota” paint to grace the walls and halls of the family homestead.
Before your schedule starts to book up, make a reservation and visit the Bachman’s Holiday Ideas House to see what this holiday season has to offer. The house is open through December 15, 2013 – seven days a week. Here’s a link to all the details.
