Bachman’s Fall Ideas House 2013

It’s hard to believe this is a single car garage. What a great place to spend a Fall evening enjoying a great meal with your favorite people.

The Fall Ideas House is designed for a busy couple who are equally dedicated to careers and socializing, you’ll find rooms for both him, her, and groups. She’s an independent event planner; he’s a downtown business exec. They work hard, but also save time for relaxing and having fun. With multiple tablescapes for entertaining, this home is focused on celebrating fall with friends.

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAA combination of the hand painted white buffet, artwork and special paint treatment, this corner vignette competes with the magnificent fall tablescape for the focal point in the dining room.

The paint colors from the dining area and living room are combined here in the hallway turning this small, plain space into a wall that says “welcome.”

A faux bois treatment brings attention to the artwork and interest to the stairwell in the Bachman’s house. Faux bois means “false wood” and the look is achieved by using a graining tool.

Gold and green brighten up the black tablescape on the main dining room table.

Fall Mums bring color to the sunroom featuring a game table and repurposed mini-bar off to the right.

Loved the use of belts on the chair back and then carried thru to the valance and bulletin board.

You’ll find the man cave outside in the shed surrounded by all the fall flowers and plantings. A clever disguise for a man cave. And how creative is the cement block seating?
