Mark Franz

I graduated from Northwestern and Bethel University and have spent my entire career in the paint industry. I have worked in multiple Hirshfields’ locations and spent 28 years in outside sales, specializing in the new construction, facility management, insurance restoration, disaster restoration and residential repaint markets.

My primary market has been working with builders and remodelers on new construction projects. I mainly work through commercial paint contractors, while also supporting the market through The Builders Association and The Builders Club in the Twin Cities.

The Facility Management market has a great variety of coatings needs. I work with hospitals, hotels, schools, and many churches to find a solution to just about any coatings need. It may include the need for a more durable wall finish for a common area in a hotel, a low odor epoxy for a hospital floor, or mold remediation in a wet facility. Customers rely on a long-term relationship with a familiar brand. I have been a member of Minnesota Church Facility Managers Association, Multi-Housing, and the Minnesota Educational Facilities Management Association.

The Disaster Restoration Market includes water loss, fire & smoke damage, odor, and mold remediation. I work with many restoration companies in the Twin Cities and have IICRC certifications in Water Damage Restoration, Fire & Smoke Restoration, and Odor Control. I also am an IOT Certified Mold Technician.

I have been married for 31 years and have two daughters.
