Have you seen SATC 2? It had huge hype when it opened. Radio stations gave away tickets, SATC 2 opening night parties took place, friends making a night of it, harem pants were sewn. I haven’t seen it, but I will check it out on DVD to get a closer look at the movie’s interior finishes. I am always on the lookout for products that Hirshfield’s carries, or may want to carry. CasaSugar has made the job easier with an interview from the set designer, Lydia Marks, and another posting titled SATC 2 Decor Galore. A good read for all SATC fans.
The wallcovering from Carrie and Big’s bedroom is Rococo Stripe from Cole & Son. Here are two different colorways in larger samples so you can see what makes this pattern so beautiful on the wall.
The Rose Damask wallcovering is available from occa-home.
This paper is Katie Ridder’s Oiseau pattern.
Did you notice the Victorian look of all the wallcoverings? Michelle Lamb, back in January 2010, told Hirshfield’s employees that the Victorian influence would be evident in fashion and furnishings later in the year. Pinstripes, lace, velvet, dark, heavy drapes, and trims; I can’t wait to see what Victorian will look like in 2010 and 2011.
Hirshfield’s can help you with the Rococo Stripe wallcovering which is available through our designResource showroom. The Rose Damask wallcovering is available from occa-home, located in the UK. The Katie Ridder pattern through showrooms on the coasts and Chicago. If interested in pricing and sampling I’m sure the showroom can be of assistance on all these patterns.
